New VoiP server for us!

Good news for everyone: our new voice server is up and running!

Details? it's a Ventrilo server, you have to download the 2,1.4 client either from here or google it.

It has 50 slot so that should be enough for us I think

IP address: 87.229.102.68
Port: 4050

Ok you have downloaded and installed the software. Now what? How can I connect to the chatroom?

Step one: Start Ventrilo. If instalation went all right you should get a window like this:



Step 2: User setup.
There is an empty field next to User name. We have to fill it. Click on the -> button next to the field and you get a window like this one:



Now click on New. You get another window, where you can write your name (preferably your WoW name), then click OK.



Now the User name field is occupied. Click OK.

Step 3: Server setup.
Your Ventrilo window now looks like this:


You have a User name but no server yet. No problem, we will work on that.
Click on the -> button next to the empty Server field. You get a new window for server setup.



Click on New, on the empty field write The Legion of Doom (or LOD or whatever you want) then click OK.

On the Hostname or IP field write 87.229.102.68.
On the Port field write 4050
It should look like this (but the numbers doesn't match):


Now click OK, and you get back to the main window. Nothing left but to hit the Connect button.

And i can hear you better now guys. I actually understand around 70% of what you say rather than 30% i did earlier :ppp

I hope my MultiMix Ventrilo, or how it is called, knows this version.

i somehow just cant connect to the server

Do you have the correct version? and did you do the steps? try to install again?

yeah, my VentriloMix has the right version and so far I can connect, but atm I can't speak to you, cause my headset is in one of the many boxes around me and I am too lazy to search for it.

we using an old version of vent?
